Auto parts stolen
A Stafford sheriff’s deputy was called to 3254 Jefferson Davis Highway in North Stafford at 9:19 a.m. Monday Feb. 20 after someone broke into Boswells Towing and stole an estimated $1,200 worth of auto parts.
The intruder broke the lock to a fence at the business and went inside a yard where vehicles were parked and stole 17 car batteries, 27 aluminum wheels and other parts, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
Home broken into
Sheriff’s authorities are investigating a break in to a home on Sunnyside Drive in North Stafford.
The victim on Feb. 24 told authorities he had been away from his home for two weeks and then came home on Feb. 24 to find windows smashed, two flat screen TV, Xbox games and medication all mission from his home, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
BB shatters car window
Sheriff’s authorities were called to the area of Widewater Road in North Stafford at 2:24 p.m. Sunday after a driver reported his rear window in his car appeared to have been shattered by a BB.
The victim was driving on Widewater Road between Ottinger and McMillion drives when he heard his window shatter, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
No one was injured.
Mailbox set ablaze
A neighbor called the Stafford sheriff’s office at 5:06 a.m. to report a mailbox had been set on fire.
The responding deputy came to scene on Greystone Place in North Stafford, found the box had been set ablaze, and then talked with the homeowner who told authorities they heard loud noises between 4:30 and 5 a.m. They also a saw a dark Jeep occupied by juveniles speed off, said Kennedy.
