FREDERICKSBURG — A Stafford woman faces charges in a gas station fire in Fredericksburg.
The suspect is charged with arson after a fire broke out at the Sheetz gas station at 2001 Carl D. Silver Parkway at 7:34 a.m. Sunday.
She was arrested on Sunday afternoon, in the parking lot of a nearby Walmart store, said Fredericksburg police spokeswoman Sarah Kirkpatrick.
Fire crews were able to douse the blaze, but smoke damage forced the business to close for the day. No injuries were reported.
Diana Thorne, 30, of Stafford County is charged with arson of an occupied building, said Kirkpatrick.
