Democratic presidential hopeful Beto O’Rouke stops in Fredericksburg, Dumfries

FREDERICKSBURG — Democratic Presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke will make stops in Dumfries and Fredericksburg on Wednesday on a tour through Virginia.

His stops will be at two restaurants: Pimenta Jamaican restaurant in Fredericksburg, and El Paso Mexican Grill just outside of Dumfries.

This is O’Rouke’s his first trip to the state since announcing his candidacy for President of the United States less than a month ago. O’Rourke will be the first declared Democratic presidential candidate to visit Virginia, according to a campaign spokeswoman.

His two-day trip across the commonwealth started Tuesday and included stops in Norfolk, Hampton, Williamsburg, Henrico, Charlottesville, and Alexandria, according to a campaign spokeswoman.
