One of the busiest, most dangerous intersections in Manassas to be repaved

MANASSAS — Paving crews will be out at the intersection of Signal Hill Road and Signal Hill Avenue this week.

It’s a key intersection along Manassas’ busy Liberia Avenue corridor that is home to multiple restaurants, a supermarket, and a Walmart.

Crews will close a portion of Signal Hill Road for the project — a busy intersection that where street traffic meetings drivers entering and exiting two separate shopping centers.

A total of 12 crashes with 13 injuries were reported at this intersection in 2015, one of the highest trouble spots in the city that year, according to city police.

Work on the $40,000 paving job is expected to take place today through Thursday, March 21, 2019.

Drivers are encouraged to find another way around the road closure.
