Strong-armed robbery, strangulation in latest Prince William police report

WOODBRIDGE – (Press Release) On March 12 at 2:57 a.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 13131 Hillendale Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery.

The store clerk reported to police that two unknown men entered the store through the front door and approached the counter. During the encounter, one of the men displayed a knife and assaulted the clerk. The men then took tobacco products and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene.

The victim immediately contacted police and a police K-9 searched for the suspects who were not located. Minor injuries were reported.

Suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’10, thin build. Last seen wearing a black hoodie, dark colored mask covering his face from his nose down, black slim fit sweatpants, dark colored gloves, black sneakers with white markings on the side and rear and a black North Face backpack.

Second suspect described as unknown race, light skin male, approximately 6’0”, medium build. Last seen wearing a dark colored ball cap with a lighter colored brim, dark colored mask covering his face from the nose down, black hoodie, one gray and one black glove, black sweatpants, and dark colored running shoes.

The investigation continues.

In other news, a strangulation attempt was reported in the 1000 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) on March 10 at 3:55 p.m. The investigation revealed that the two parties were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated.

During the encounter, both assaulted one another including one of the parties grabbing the other by the neck, temporarily limiting his airflow. The parties eventually separated and the police were contacted.

Minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, both parties were arrested without incident. Arrests are identified as Peter Edward O’Lenic, 26, of the 1000 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge and Matthew Joseph Park, 26, also of the 1000 block of Bayside Ave.
