She is survived by her children Rachelle (Michael) Jayner and Robert (Kelly) Seeger, and her cherished grandchildren Ryan and Nicholas Jayner and Charlotte Seeger.
Born and raised in New York City and Long Island NY, Rose moved to Wappingers Falls after marrying the love of her life, Rich. They were married for 43 years until his passing in 2010, and together created a happy home for their children and dogs.
Rose had a love for numbers and prior to her retirement was a self-employed accountant, specializing in helping family-owned restaurants and small businesses. She was a dedicated gardener with keen artistic abilities and a talent for entertaining and decorating. She often used those skills for the benefit of others running volunteer and charity events, particularly for the Little Sisters of the Poor, for whom she volunteered for all of her life as a devout Catholic. Rose also was an avid golfer, and could be found on the golf course several times a week, with her husband Rich or with friends. She loved travel, and treasured her time living in Scotland with Rich. She will be remembered fondly for her service to others and her immense love for her family, who will deeply miss her and treasure their memories with her.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, January 23rd from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Derwood MD, followed immediately by a Catholic Funeral Mass. She will be interred at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband Rich. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Rose’s name to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 2999 Schurz Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465, or online
