PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – Prince William County Public Schools’ brand-new bus tracking app still isn’t working—and now it looks like it may stay down for a few days.
The folks at PWCS just shared with Potomac Local News that the EZ A2B app is still offline and won’t be up in time for this afternoon’s school bus routes. The vendor says it may take “multiple days” to restore service.
The division is encouraging families to use ParentVUE instead, where you can find bus numbers, pickup and drop-off times, and stop locations. If any buses are significantly delayed this afternoon, the PWCS Transportation Department will notify families directly.
As we posted here earlier today, PWCS launched the EZ A2B app this school year to give families real-time tracking and more intelligent routing. Here’s what we reported last week about the new system and what it promised.
Here’s the full update from PWCS:
The EZ A2B bus tracking app continues to experience technical issues and is not expected to be operational for this afternoon’s routes. The vendor has indicated that restoration may take multiple days, and we will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available. We apologize for this inconvenience.
In the meantime, bus numbers, times, and locations are available in your ParentVUE app – including afternoon drop-off times.
Any significant delays in buses this afternoon will be communicated to families directly by the PWCS Transportation Department.
