When Bob Zdzinicki went in for his first colonoscopy in March 2021, he received terrible news. They had found that cancer had taken entirely over his kidney. Luckily, he had surgery to remove that kidney in April and can now happily say that he is cancer-free.
To say that he was lucky is an understatement, Zdzinicki's family has a history of cancer that in the past had claimed both his older sister and grandmother.
But there was also a family history of successfully fighting the disease. His daughter Jessica has been cancer-free for the last three years after going through Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
