Alice Harrover Alexander, 74 Woodbridge, passed away December 29, 2020 after suffering a massive stroke. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Alexander, her parents Buddy and Phenetta Harrover and a brother Charles “Duke” Harrover. She is survived by her daughters Debbie Mahon, Alicia Wilkins and Denise Alexander. She is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her sister Doris Benton and brother Jimmy Harrover (Jan), and two nephews.
Alice was retired from the American Red Cross with more than 35 years service. She was a charter and lifelong member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Lorton Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the W.O.T.M charter #653 in Lorton, a member of the VFW in Occoquan and a lifelong member of Cranford United Methodist Church in Lorton. Alice continued to volunteer her services even after her passing through the donation of tissue to breast cancer and burn patients in need.
Funeral service will be held on January 8, 2021 at 11 AM at Mountcastle-Turch Funeral Home on Occoquan Road. With interment at Mount Comfort Cemetery on N. Kings Highway in Alexandria immediately after. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
