Larry Clyde Casperson, 77 of Woodbridge, VA passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 27, 2020 in Woodbridge due to complications of COVID 19. He was born October 29, 1943 in Sturgeon Bay, WI to Clyde and Mila Casperson.
He grew up in Sister Bay, WI, attended Sister Bay Grade School and graduated from Gibraltar High School in 1961. Larry enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in the U.S. Naval Medical Corps. He worked in retail sales in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Ohio and then worked as a district manager for Peoples Drug in New Jersey. Larry found his passion for the commercial sign industry when he moved to Occoquan, VA. He was an independent contractor in the sales and design of commercial signage for over 45 years.
Larry is survived by his brother, Greg (Debbie) Casperson, Baileys Harbor, WI; special niece, Sarah (Brian) Quella, St. Cloud, FL; and very loved great-nephew, Jordan Quella. He is also survived by many cousins, other relatives and close friends from growing up in Sister Bay.
Larry was blessed with so many special friends in the Occoquan and Woodbridge communities that he always felt he had a second family there. Larry’s family wishes to “Thank You All” for your love and friendship given to him. He was so proud to serve the community of Occoquan as Mayor .
Due to COVID 19 and Larry’s wishes, services will be held in the spring 2021 with burial at Little Sister Cemetery, Sister Bay, WI.
