A 20-year-old Prince William County man has died after a crash involving a tractor trailer.
On Monday, December 21 at 7:33 a.m. , officers responded to the 3600 block of Sanders Lane in Catharpin to investigate a two-vehicle crash.
The investigation revealed that the driver of a 2014 Chevy Silverado was traveling northbound on Sanders Lane. when the driver crossed over the dividing line and struck a 2018 Freightliner head-on, said Prince William police spokeswoman Renee Carr.
The driver of the Silverado was extricated from the vehicle and transported to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries sustained during the crash.
The driver of the Freightliner was also transported to an area hospital where he has since been treated and released for non-life threatening injuries. A passenger of the Freightliner reported minor injuries. The investigation continues.
The deceased driver of the 2014 Chevy Silverado was identified as Brandon Christopher Kite, 20, of Catharpin.
The driver of the 2018 Freightliner tractor trailer was identified as a 34-year-old man of Berkeley Springs, WVa.
The passenger of the 2018 Freightliner tractor trailer was identified as a 32-year-old man of Crystal Springs, Penn.
