21-year-old man dies after found shot in Lake Ridge

Detectives with the Homicide Unit have identified the man killed in the shooting that occurred in the 2300 block of Briar Rose Ln in Woodbridge (22192) on October 21.

  • The deceased was identified as Nathaniel Isiah HICKSON, 21, of Norfolk. More information regarding this case will be released when available. The investigation continues.

On October 21 at 11:04 p.m., officers responded to the 2300 block of Briar Rose Lane in Lake Ridge to investigate a shooting.

  • When officers arrived, they located an unresponsive man outside in the parking area who had been shot.
  • Officers utilized issued trauma kits and initiated CPR until rescue personnel arrived on scene.
  • The man, preliminarily identified as a 21-year-old, was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
  • No other injuries have been reported.

At this time, detectives from the Homicide Unit are actively investigating the incident to determine what led up the shooting. No arrest has been made in this incident.
