The Mantle Coffee Shoppe closes, thanks customers

NORTH STAFFORD — The Mantle Coffee Shoppe has closed.

Located at 15 Tech Parkway in North Stafford, the shop announced on social media on Tuesday that it would close the doors.

“It is with great sadness to announce as of 3:00pm today we are closing Mantle Coffee Shoppe permanently. We want to thank our patrons and customers of whom we have grown to know and care deeply for. We hope we made somewhat of a positive impact in Stafford and will cherrish a lot of great memories. We had an amazing staff that truly loved working for you to make this place to what it was. Thank you Stafford! May God Bless you!”

The shop was known not only for its coffee, but also for its tea for two services, which came with a choice of tea, pastries, and sandwiches. Also served at the shop was cauliflower-crust pizza, as well as specialty items like taco salads.

Originally closed on Sundays, the coffee shop added expanded its operating hours to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays.

Customers at Barley Naked Brewing Co., located next to The Mantle, had the option of ordering food the coffee shop and having it delivered to the brewery.

The shop opened in fall 2017. Since then, a second coffee shop, The Grounds, opened across from The Mantle, at 50 North Stafford Complex, next to Walmart Neighborhood Market.
