Warner to deliver keynote at cyber conference at Mary Washington Stafford Campus

STAFFORD COUNTY — Virginia Senator Mark Warner will be the keynote speaker at an upcoming cybersecurity conference.

Warner (D) will speak at the third annual Cyber Never Sleeps Summit, which brings together leaders on the frontlines of the “cyber battle.”

State, Department of Defense, and operational-level experts will offer perspectives on the latest challenges in cybersecurity, as well as tips for protecting the data and physical assets most important to you.

Topics include:

•Cybersecurity 101: We’re all at the forefront of the “cyber battle”

•Securing Infrastructure: Defend against a wide array of threats to protect critical infrastructure from cyber attack

•Shared Responsibility: Cybersecurity requires communication across industries and government agencies

Other speakers include State Senator Bryce Reeves (R-27, Fredericksburg), Dr. Ray Letteer, Marine Corps Senior Information Security Official, and U.S. Marine Corps Col. Douglas Lemott, the commanding officer of Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group (MCCOG), Marine Corps Forces Cyberspace Command.

The event, held by the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, will be held Friday, May 3, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University of Mary Washington’s Stafford Campus, in the Gates Hudson Building, 125 University Boulevard in Stafford County.
