New sponsor: Embrey Mill Berry and Wine Festival

Embrey Mill hasn’t just become one of the biggest neighborhoods in Stafford County, it’s also got a cool wine thing happening.

This year, Potomac Local welcomes the Embrey Mill Berry and Wine Festival as a sponsor to the site. The second-annual event offers wine tastings from county favorites like Potomac Point, and Hartwood wineries, as well as A. Smith Bowman Distillery in Fredericksburg.

There’s also tons of fresh, local produce, too. Hence the name “Berry and Wine Festival.”

Last year was the first time the festival was held, and it was packed. There were multiple people lined up to taste the wine, plenty of fun actives for children, and the opportunity to see model homes at Embrey Mill.

With real wine tasting, real close, it’s kind of like the block party you wish you had on your street.

The festival takes place from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 11. Head to their website for event tickets, which include 14 tastings per ticket.

Embery Mill sits on 841 acres of land in North Stafford, with more than 1,800 new homes. It’s located at 466 Embrey Mill Road.
