MANASSAS — It’s a sure sign of spring in Manassas — the farmer’s markets are back.
The Thursday Farmers opened Thursday, and it features produce three vendors, authentic olive oil from Italy with Taste of Old Country, all-natural body products with Della Terra Organics and Peruvian delights with Dolce Amore Sweets.
The Thursday market is located at Harris Pavilion on 9021 Center Street in Downtown Manassas. It’s open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday through mid-November.
A second farmers market in downtown, The Saturday Farmers Market, is located in the car park across from Baldwin Intermediate School, located at 9024 Prince William Street.
This Market features vendors from Africa to South America, free samples, and live music. New vendors this year include Vale of the Blue Ridge Maple, selling maple syrup, and wood goods, and Smithfield Woodworks selling wood décor. Solar Delights sells unique solar garden lights, and Natural Scents sells cologne and perfume oil, lotion, soap, and candles.
The hours of the Saturday Market are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
