Barbara Mesce, 69, of Warrenton passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 in Washington, D.C.
A member of All Saints Catholic Church, she had served as a volunteer teaching assistant for first and second grade for the past 12 years. She was a volunteer at a local rehab center for many years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and a league bowler. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and especially spending time with family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Michael; three daughters, Diane Suthard and her husband Danny, Christina Butcher and her husband Kevin and Annmarie Metheny and her husband Quentin, a sister, Lorraine Manfredi and her grandchildren, D.J. Suthard, Kevin Butcher, Jr., Kaitlyn Butcher, Elise Metheny and Everly Metheny.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Pierce Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church.
Entombment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
