After the pharmacy on the corner of Hoadly Road and Apollo Drive closed, the building has sat empty.
The failed Walgreens chain pharmacy location here was nestled about four miles from another Walgreens, still open at the corner of Hoadly and Purcell roads.
Today, however, we learned Dollar Tree will open a new location in the vacated Walgreens. It’ll be located next to what will be a new mixed-use development to feature townhomes and a self-storage facility.
From an email from a Dollar Tree spokeswoman:
The new Woodbridge store is scheduled to open on Thursday, January 25th.
“Dollar Tree stores, where each item is priced at $1 or less, are open seven days a week and offer a value and convenient shopping experience. The 14,592 square foot store will be located at 12651 Apollo Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22193. A store of this size typically employs 12 to 20 associates. Interested applicants can apply online at www.dollartree.com or in person at the store location.
