MANASSAS, Va. — Mayah Dyson, 19, of Manassas will perform backup vocals for Solange Knowles on Saturday Night Live on Nov. 5, 2016.

Since appearing on BET’s Chasing Destiny, Mayah is continuing her education at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA; where she is currently a junior majoring in Music and Performing Arts with a minor in Music Business.
She continues to perform locally and abroad and has recently performed at Forest Park High School’s 2016 graduation. She was eager to perform amongst her peers, family and friends at the graduation. She has also performed in Nashville, TN and most recently at the Boston Jazz festival.
She will also be performing in San Jose, CA in mid-November.
Keith Dyson stopped by Jirani Coffeehouse to show us cell phone video of practice sessions on the Saturday Night Live set, in preparation for Saturday’s broadcast.

Dyson is a student a Berklee College of Music in Boston. She is a graduate of Forest Park High School.
