A three-vehicle crash led to the closure of all lanes of Interstate 66 east this morning.
The crash occurred near milepost 47 at Roue 234 / Prince William Parkway near Manassas.
One driver was flown to a local hospital with serious injuries, said Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police cleared the scene by 7 a.m., added Geller.
Drivers sat in a stand-still back-up of more than an hour, according to a reader who submitted the photo for this post.
