Aggravated Malicious Wounding | Shooting Investigation – On August 30 at 7:07PM, officers responded to the 14700 block of Birchdale Ave in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting. The investigation revealed that the victim, a 17-year-old male juvenile of Woodbridge, was shot in the lower body by an acquaintance near the basketball courts in the above area.
The encounter appears to have stemmed from an ongoing dispute. After the shooting, the suspect fled the area. Responding officers provided immediate first-aid to the victim before rescue crews arrived on scene. The victim was flown to an area hospital and is expected survive.
This incident was not random. The investigation continues.

Prince William police were called to the scene of a shooting Tuesday night.
A man was shot in the lower body about 8 p.m.
Police were dispatched to the area of Birchdale Avenue in Dale City following the shooting,
The victim suffered injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, according to police.
