The Prince William County Fair will open at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016, due to excessive heat in the region.
The fair had been scheduled to open at noon, but hot temperatures forced fair officials to postpone Sunday’s opening.
The dairy goat show and judging scheduled for 9 a.m. will take place on time, said Prince William County Fair spokeswoman Chrissy Taylor.
The Prince William County Fair runs through Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, and is located at the county fairgrounds at 10624 Dumfries Road in Manassas.
Sunday will be another hot day in the region with high temperatures in the 90s, with heat index values making the outside air feel like it’s 110 degrees.
