Suspect in string of Woodbridge-area robberies nabbed

From Prince William police:

Armed Robberies *SUSPECT IDENTIFIED – On July 15, detectives from the Robbery Unit identified the suspect involved in two commercial robberies in the Woodbridge area of the county. The suspect, identified as Joseph Tyler KELLEY of Woodbridge, has been connected to the July 11 robbery of the Papa Johns on Dale Blvd and the June 8 robbery of the Exxon service station on Quate Ln. In both cases, an undisclosed amount of money was taken. Detectives have since obtained arrest warrants for this suspect who has not been located.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On July 11 at 11:00PM, officers responded to the Papa Johns located at 4814 Dale Blvd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store displaying a knife and demanding money. The man took an undisclosed amount of money then fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects who were not located. The investigation continues.

Armed Robbery [Previously Released] – On June 8 at 7:40PM, officers responded to the Exxon service station located at 13549 Quate Ln in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. Employees reported to police that an unknown man entered the store then brandished a handgun and demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspect who was not located. No injuries were reported. The investigation continues.
