The Chief Constitutional Officers in the Prince William County Courthouse will get a three-percent raise this year.
The County Board of Supervisors is expected to approve raises for Sheriff Glen Hill, Commonwealth Attorney Paul Ebert, and Clerk of the Circuit Court Michele McQuigg.
Here are their current annual salaries, according to county spokesman Jason Grant:
Sheriff $172,648.06
Clerk of Court $161,097.82
Commonwealth Atty $222,711.06
The current five-year plan adopted by Prince William County Government allows for additional three percent pay raises for these constitutional officers in fiscal years in 2019 and 2021, according to county documents.
The Board of Supervisors also has the option to approve an additional two percent market adjustment raise in 2028 and 2020, according to county documents.
All three constitutional officers were reelected to serve new terms in fall 2015.
Hill serves a four-year term and has been Prince William Sheriff since 2004. He’ll be up for reelection again in 2019.
Taking office in 1968, Ebert is Virginia’s longest-serving Commonwealth Attorney. He serves a four-year term and he’ll be up for reelection in 2019.
McQuigg serves an eight-year-term, and she will be up for reelection in 2023.
The pay raises are on the consent agenda for the Prince William County Board of Supervisors July 12, 2016 meeting.
