A pickup drove over an 800-gallon underground propane tank on Monday.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the scene int he 13000 block of Gables Green Way in Gainesville at 11:02 a.m. The truck caused a rupture in the tank.
“Readings indicated the leaking product did create a significant concern for nearby structures,” stated Prince William County Fire and Rescue Department spokesman Matt Smolksy
Fire crews stopped the leak until repairs could be made. Crews stayed on the scene for about two hours on Monday
No injuries were reported.
