Multiple businesses in North Stafford are without power this morning.

Shops in the Doc Stone and North Stafford Plaza shopping centers are dark.

A sign on the door to an IHOP in Doc Stone shopping stated closed due to a power outage. The employee opened the door, ripped off the sign, and said “We can still cook. We’ve got gas.”

A total of 6,953 Dominion Virginia Power customers in Stafford County were without service at 10:40 a.m. Thursday, according to the utility’s website. Dominion is in the process of investigating two outages along Route 610 in North Stafford.

A larger outage in the central part of the county affecting more than 2,600 Dominion customers was blamed on a failed circuit.
