Candy shop owner Allison Haught will focus on growing the membership of the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.
More in a press release:
This month the Prince William Chamber of Commerce added Allison Haught to their staff in the newly created position of Membership Sales Representative. Allison will work full-time focusing on membership recruitment and development, operating out of the Chamber’s Headquarters office in Manassas. To date she has successfully expanded Chamber membership by 11 new members in less than two weeks.
Haught brings with her an entrepreneur’s perspective. Since 2012 she has owned a candy shop in Historic Downtown Culpeper called My Secret Stash, featuring vintage and gourmet candies and beverages. My Secret Stash has been featured in Washingtonian Magazine, Northern Virginia Times Magazine and The Scout Guide. Allison is most proud of her store’s involvement in the local community and strategic partnerships developed with local and national event facilities and vendors that increased sales by 20 percent in 2015. She can be found there on the weekends. During the week the shop is maintained by employees.
Allison has a B.A. in Political Science from George Washington University and a background in the hospitality industry. Having worked for such major corporations as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt Hotels and Starbucks Coffee, she brings with her a vast understanding of the importance of customer service and the role that corporate social responsibility plays in the life of a community.
