The Potomac Nationals 2016 Seasonal Job Fair has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 2 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge.
This annual job fair event is open to the public with over 100 positions in all departments available.
The baseball team seeks dedicated candidates to work part-time as game day employees during the baseball season. Employees could also be tasked with working non-gameday special events.
On-site interviews will be administered on a first come, first serve basis.
Job applications can be downloaded online and will also be available on-site. Applications can be downloaded from the Potomac Nationals website. Part time employment applications will not be accepted prior to the job fair.
The seasonal positions range from Thursday, April 14 to at least Monday, September 5. The end season date of September 5 is subject to change due to potential postseason contests. Whether or not the Nationals qualify for the 2016 Carolina League Playoffs will determine if the season will be extended to the second week in September.
Available seasonal positions include working in the departments of concessions, stadium operations, ticket takers, and ticket sales. Concession jobs can range from waiters, food vendors, to cashiers. Stadium operations includes ushers, kids zone attendants, and parking attendants.
“The P-Nats offer seasonal positions are perfect for school employees, students, retired persons, and others who love the game of baseball and are looking for a fun and flexible part-time opportunity in an upbeat, exciting professional sporting atmosphere,” said the Potomac Nationals spokesman Bryan Holland in a press release.
Monday through Friday weeknight games at Pfitzner Stadium begin at 7:05 p.m. while Saturday night games begin at 6:35 p.m. During the first half of the season, first pitch of Sunday games will be at 1:05 p.m. The second half of Sunday games will begin at 6:05 p.m.
Employees are expected by their departments to arrive at Pfitzner Stadium two hours before the start of the game.
On Wednesday, April 20, the game is scheduled to begin at 10:35 a.m. Contests being hosted at the Pfitzner Stadium on Wednesday, April 29 and Wednesday, July 27 are scheduled to begin at 12:05 p.m. The Independence Day game on Monday, July 4th is scheduled to begin at 1:05 p.m.
Applications can be picked up at the Potomac National’s front office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The application will need to be returned to the Potomac Nationals Assistant General Manager/Director of Food and Beverage Aaron Johnson by March 2.
