Sheetz gas station and food store will expand its presence in Woodbridge.
A new store will be built at the corner of Caton Hill and Telegraph roads, next to the newly expanded Telegraph Road Commuter Lot. The new Sheetz will have expanded space for indoor and outdoor seating for restaurant customers who order quick-service food — sandwiches, buffalo wings, and fries — the company has become known for.
Construction of the new store is scheduled to begin in Spring 2016, said Henry Schuldinger, with Greysteel commercial real estate service. Another Sheetz opened in Prince William Parkway at Hillendale Drive in Dale City back in the 1990s, and a new Sheetz opened this fall at the intersection of Sudley Manor Drive and Ashton Avenue near Manassas.
Sheetz is also building a new location off Garrisonville Road in North Stafford.
The new Sheetz in Woodbridge will sit next to a busy 2,900-parking space commuter lot next to Interstate 95. Prince William County Transportation crews finished work on expanding the lot earlier this year.
The Telegraph Road lot sits next to the Horner Road commuter lot, which was already the largest commuter lot in Virginia.
