Police say the body of a man found this morning outside a Prince William County elementary school fits is that of Edward Hale, Jr., 35, of Glen Burnie, Md.

He was wanted in connection to the shooing death of 31-year-old Jessica Leigh Wilson, who was shot and killed outside of her home in Bristow over the weekend.

This morning, police cordoned off the area around T. Clay Woods Elementary School in Nokesville just after 11 a.m. when they found the body near baseball fields. Prior to the sighting of the body, police found what appeared to be the suspect’s car in a parking lot. The car was unoccupied, so police placed the school on lockdown and then called in a police helicopter from Fairfax County to search for the suspect.

Police have not identified the body found this morning, and posted on the department’s Facebook page that an investigation is ongoing.

Police were searching for 35-year-old Edward Hale, Jr., of Glen Burnie, Md. Police said he shot and killed 31-year-old Jessica Lee Wilson outside of her Bristow home Saturday night following an argument. After killing Wilson, the suspect fled the area, according to police.

Homicide investigators following the shooting quickly learned that the two knew each other the shooting was a result of a domestic dispute. Detectives then put out a warrant for Hale’s arrest.

This is the fourth murder in Prince William County this year. Wilson’s murder It comes after a 21-year-old Glenda Marisol Coca-Romero was shot and killed inside a Woodbridge grocery store in February. Last year, there were six murders in Prince William County, followed by two the year prior, according to police crime statistics.
