PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – On October 7, following an investigation, detectives arrested a man for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl, whom he knew, more than one time since August 2014. According to the report, when a family member found out, police were contacted.

Rape | Aggravated Sexual Battery – On October 7th, detectives from the Special Victims Unit responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 16600 block of Hardwood Oaks Ct in Dumfries (22026). The investigation revealed that the victim, a 12 year old girl, was sexually assaulted by the accused, a known acquaintance, on more than one occasion since August of this year. A family member learned of the incidents and contacted police. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.

Ezequiel SALAZAR RANGEL, 35, of the 16600 block of Hardwood Oaks Ct in Dumfries
Charged with 3 counts of forcible sodomy, 3 counts of aggravated sexual battery and 1 count of rape
