Two Charged in Hit and Run, Over $2000 in Damages

MANASSAS, Va. – On September 23, two suspects were arrested for a hit and run to a parked vehicle on 9431 West Street with damages that totaled over $2,000. 

The hit and run occurred at the Train Depot at around 10:20 pm, said Manassas police spokeswoman Adrienne Helms. After the investigation, officers found and charged John William Staggs, 40, with driving while intoxicated and hit and run, he was held on a $2,000 bond, said Helms.

His partner in crime, Marie Desiree Ollek, 38, was charged with drunk in public and released without bail; both suspects have a pending court date of November 25, 2014, said Helms.
