Police Report: Trespasser Pushes Officer, Resists Arrest

MANASSAS, Va. – On September 6, a male suspect was arrested after resisting arrest and pushing an officer. Police believed that the suspect was drunk when they were in the area investigating a trespasser complaint and identified him as the suspect. 

Here’s the latest from Prince William police;  

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On September 6th at 11:22PM, officers responded to a wooded area in the 10700 block of Coverstone Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a trespasser complaint. Officers arrived and located the accused who was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. When officers attempted to arrest the accused, he actively resisted and, at one point, pushed an officer. After a brief struggle, the accused was detained. Following the encounter, the accused was arrested. No injuries were reported.

Benedicto HERNANDEZ-ARAGON, 36, of no fixed address

Charged with assault & battery on a LEOresisting arrest and intoxication in public

Court date: October 27, 2014 | Bond: held WITHOUT bond
