DALE CITY, Va. – On August 31, while being issued papers, a male suspect was arrested after striking an officer and trying to leave the scene on foot.

Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – On August 31st at 11:16AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 14600 block of Cloyd Way in Woodbridge (22193) to serve paperwork on the accused. During the encounter, officers attempted to detain the accused who actively resisted. While being placed in a police cruiser, the accused struck an officer and attempted to flee on foot. The accused was quickly detained without further incident. No injuries were reported.
