Man Knocked to the Ground, Struck in the Face

LAKE RIDGE, Va. – On August 21, a 34-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck in the face and knocked to the ground by the male suspect, causing him to become unconscious. After the incident, the suspect left the scene and police have issued a warrant. 

Here’s the latest from Prince William police:

Malicious Wounding – On August 21st at 6:03PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12500 block of Queensbury Ct in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The victim, a 34 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and the accused, a known acquaintance, were involved in a verbal altercation in front of the home. During the encounter, the accused struck the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground. As a result of the fall, the victim struck his head on the pavement rendering him unconscious. The victim regained consciousness and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The accused fled prior to officers arriving in the area. Following the investigation, officers obtained a warrant against the accused.

Described as a white male, 5’11”, 170lbs with a medium build, short brown hair, blue eyes, an unshaved face and several tattoos
