MANASSAS, Va. — The wife of the late Manassas City Mayor and former Virginia Delegate Harry J. Parrish, and mother of the city’s current Mayor Harry “Hal” Parrish has died.
Mattie Parrish passed away last night. She was 93 years old and was described as a “pillar of the community” in a press release from the mayor’s office.
Harry J. Parrish, who passed away in 2006, represented the 50th House District for Manassas City and portions of Prince William County and Manassas Park between 1982 and 2006.
A visitation with the family will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, August 25 at Grace United Methodist Church, located at 9750 Wellington Road in Manassas. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. the following day at the same location.
