Man Tries to Break Into Home

MANASSAS, Va. - On August 9, a homeowner told police that a man, whom she knew, tried to enter her home through breaking a bedroom window. According to the report, the man assaulted her the night before and police arrested him. 

Here's the latest from Prince William police:

Attempted Residential Burglary | Domestic Assault & Battery – On August 9th at 9:45PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 8000 block of Lyon Cir in Manassas (20109) to investigate a disorderly call. The homeowner reported to police that the accused, a known acquaintance, attempted to enter her residence after breaking a bedroom window. The accused did not enter the home and was apprehended by responding officers without further incident. While investigating this incident, the victim informed officers that the accused had assaulted her the night prior. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested.
