DUMFRIES,Va.– Man arrested for attempting to distribute narcotics, police report.

Narcotics Investigation –
On July 31st, detectives from the Street Crimes Unit stopped a suspicious vehicle in the 17100 block of Old Stage Rd in Dumfries (22025). The investigation revealed that the driver, identified as the accused, was attempting to sell prescription medications.
As a result of the investigation Percocet, Oxycontin, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered. Following the investigation, detectives arrested the accused without incident. This arrest was previously held for investigative purposes.

Stephen Albert JOSEPH III, 44, of 1411 G St in Woodbridge
Charged with attempt to distribute a schedule I/II narcotic
