Electricity to Prince William Government Center Restored

Power is restored to the Prince William County Government Center.

The culprit for the outage: a snake was found in a power transformer, said Dominion Virginia Power spokeswoman Le Ha Anderson.

The office complex’s electricity was restored about 12:30 p.m., according to those who work inside the building.

11:40 a.m. 

WOODBRIDGE, Va. -– The lights are out at the Prince William County Government Center in Woodbridge.

All of the buildings at the complex are currently being powered by generators.

A check of Dominion Virginia Power’s outage map at 11:30 a.m., showed the outage to be localized at the government center on Prince William Parkway.

The local government remains open for business despite the outage.
