QUANTICO, Va. — A road closure is coming to Russell Road at Quantico starting Sunday.

Weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation will close Russell Rd., east and west under I-95 for overnight steel placement, starting on Sunday March 24, to Wednesday March 27, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Through traffic on Russell Rd. and I-95 northbound traffic exiting to Russell Rd. west will be directed onto I-95 north to Exit 150, Joplin Rd. (Route 619) west, follow signs to I-95 south to Exit 148, Russell Rd. west. Through traffic on Russell Rd. and I-95 southbound traffic exiting to Russell Rd. east will be directed onto I-95 south to Exit 143A, Garrisonville Rd. (Route 610) east, follow signs to I-95 north to Exit 148, Russell Rd. east.
Traffic impacts will be minimal as Russell Rd. primarily serves the Marine Corps Base Quantico that will be closed during overnight hours. Police will be on site for motorist’s safety.
