Investigation Points to Brawley in Illegal Firearms Deal

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – A Woodbridge man is out of jail on bond this afternoon after police said he sold firearms to a convicted felon.

Selling of Firearms to Prohibited Persons – On March 13th, the Prince William County Police Street Crimes Unit, in conjunction with the Virginia State Police and Fairfax County Police, concluded an investigation into a suspect, identified as the accused, who was selling firearms to a convicted felon. Over the course of the investigation, detectives learned that the accused was selling firearms to persons not able to possess them. As a result of the investigation, the following arrest was made without incident.

Arrested on March 13th:

John Paul BRAWLEY III, 24, of 14041 Big Crest Ln #205 in Woodbridge

Charged with 2 counts of selling firearms to prohibited persons

Court date set for May 12, 2013, released on a $10,000 unsecured bond
