High Water Closes Port of Falmouth Park

FALMOUTH, Va. – Planning today on heading to get a glimpse of the Rappahannock River from the Historic Port of Falmouth Park? Think again.

The park is closed due to high water following a round of rain this week, and melting snow from a storm that brought up to seven inches of snow to Stafford County a week ago.

A portion of River Road, a two-lane thoroughfare that runs along the Rappahannock River between Stafford County and Fredericksburg, is also closed.
