Update
A 20-year-old faces charges in a robbery at a Bank of America in Bristow on Thursday.
More in an update from police:
Armed Robbery – On March 7th at 4:09PM, police responded to the Bank of America located at 12881 Braemar Village Plz in Bristow (20136) for a robbery. Employees reported to police that a masked man entered the bank and approached a teller. Once at the counter, the accused displayed a handgun and demanded money.
The suspect took an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency before fleeing the area on foot. No injuries were reported. A police K-9 was utilized in the search for the suspect who was believed to have gotten into a vehicle. During the investigation, detectives from the Robbery Unit learned that the suspect was believed to have been in the bank earlier in the day.
Detectives were able to identify the suspect as the accused. The accused was located leaving his residence off of Broadsword Dr where a traffic stop was conducted. Evidence from the robbery, including clothing worn during the robbery, was recovered and the accused was subsequently arrested.
A search warrant was conducted at the suspect’s residence. As a result of the search, a replica firearm, gloves, mask, and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency were recovered.

Jules Emerson COY, 20, of 10187 Broadsword Dr in Bristow
Charged with armed robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and wearing a mask in public
Court date set for April 10, 2013, held WITHOUT bond
Update
Police made an arrest in this case. More details on the arrest are expected later today.
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. — Police in western Prince William County were called to a bank robbery at a Bank of America this afternoon.
More in a statement from police:
*INCIDENT: Armed Robbery, Bank of America – 12881 Braemar Village Plz. Suspect entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and took money before fleeing on foot. No injuries reported. Suspect was wearing dark clothing including a sweatshirt with hood. The suspects face was covered.
Police have not announced any arrests in the case.
