School is back in session at McAuliffe Elementary School. More in a statement from schools spokeswoman Irene Cromer:
Students and staff have returned safely to McAuliffe Elementary School. Fire Dept. gave the all-clear. The alarm came from a personal device that was inadvertently activated. All normal activities resuming.
DALECITY, Va. — An alarm has prompted a precautionary evacuation of McAuliffe Elementary School in Dale City.
Students at the school on Princedale Drive were evacuated after 11 a.m. as a precautionary measure. All students are safe, said Prince William schools spokeswoman Irene Cromer.
Emergency crews have been called to the scene to investigate the alarm.
The evacuation follows a phone problem reported this morning at GrahamParkMiddle School in Dumfries.
