Manassas Park Gears Up for 5K Race

MANASSAS PARK, Va. – The City of Manassas Park Department of Parks and Recreation invites you to join us at the Signal Hill Cross Country 5K, taking place at Signal Hill Park on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 8:30am. This event is for Teens to Adults and will feature a 3.1 mile race around Signal Hill Park.

This is not your normal 5K road race. This race features very little pavement, and a plethora of dirt trails, hills and rough terrain. If you ran cross country in high school or college, and miss the off-road environment; or you are in High School and about to start your cross country season, this race is for you. Registration before Aug. 15 is $20 for Adults and $10 for high school/middle school students and includes a race t-shirt. After Aug. 15, the price increases by $2 and t-shirts are provided as available. Race begins on top of the hill (Field #4) at Signal Hill Park at 8:30 a.m.

This event is being sponsored by Gaeltek, LLC, Bella Vita and Tutti Frutti.
