North Stafford, Va. — Sheriff’s authorities are on the lookout for a man who robbed a shoe store at gunpoint.
A man walked into Famous Footwear in the 1100 block of Stafford Marketplace just off Va. 610 in North Stafford about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, brandished a small handgun and demanded the clerk open the register, said Stafford sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy.
The clerk opened the register and the man reached in and pulled out several large bills and fled the scene, said Kennedy.
Inside the store during the robbery were two clerks and a customer, and no one was injured.
The robber is described as black, five feet tall, wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and a black bandana covering his face.
Sheriff’s deputies set up a perimeter around the shopping plaza but were unable to locate the man.
