Jeweler Offers Free Cleaning to ACTS Help Food Pantry

Woodbridge, Va. — A local jeweler is offering a free ring cleaning to help reopen ACTS Food Pantry in Dumfries.

The pantry announced earlier this week that, for the first time since the onset of the national recession, they would be forced to close until Nov. 1. The closure means that more than 2,000 area residents who depend on the ACTS pantry will go without.

Quinn’s Goldsmith in Occoquan and Woodbridge is offering an Ultrasonic Ring Cleaning free when you come in and drop off a donation of food.

The jeweler plans to take its first batch of collected food to the pantry on Monday, according to a press release from the company.

Quinns Goldsmith has two locations, at 199 Union Street in Occoquan and in Potomac Town Center at 14109 Potomac Town Place in Woodbridge.
