Lorton, Va. — The Lorton Workhouse Arts Center is growing and some special guests will be able to find out how big the popular arts outpost will become.
An event on Saturday, Sept. 10 open to members of the Occoquan River Communities, will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. where they’ll be able to learn about the center’s expansion.
Located at 9601 Ox Road in Lorton, the center plans to open three newly renovated spaces. It currently sits on 55 acres of land that once housed prison inmates from Washington, D.C.
When complete, the center will boast 294,000 acres of arts facilities, according to their website.
The Sept. 10 event is open to members of the Occoquan River Communities and their guests, however, the arts center has asked that attendees email to make reservations.
