County Leaders Tour New Cancer Center

Stafford Board of Supervisors Chairman Mark Dudenhefer and Stafford County Supervisor Gary Snellings tour Stafford Hospital Center’s new Regional Cancer Treatment Center.

Stafford, Va. –– Members of the Stafford Board of Supervisors on Tuesday toured the new cancer center at Stafford Hospital Center.

The new facility, which broke ground last summer, will serve as a leading cancer treatment center for the region.

“What about the lady’s with breast cancer, will they be able to come here,” asked Griffis-Widewater Supervisor Bob Woodson.

“If you have cancer, you can come and be treated here, for the most part,” the hospital tour guide replied.

Hospital officials on the tour told supervisors they chose to build their regional cancer center in Stafford County because of the number of cancer patients in the area who need access to the type of care the center will be able to provide.
