Fairfax schools review disciplinary policy
Fairfax County Public Schools are now reviewing their disciplinary policy after two parents say their teenager committed suicide after being suspended from school, transferred to a different school and subsequently kicked off his football team, MyFoxDC reports.
A George Mason south town campus?
George Mason University is one of five colleges that has been invited to set up a campus in Martinsville, Va., in southern Virginia. Virginia Commonwealth, Old Dominion, Radford and Virginia State universities were also invited to set up shop in the town. More at Connect2Mason.
New charges filed in soldier’s death
New charges have been filed in the case of an Army soldier who was stabbed to death.
Army Spc. Morganne McBeth was killed after joining the Army in 2008, and her parents now live in Stafford County, Fredericksburg.com reports.
